CallieCallie Bauer – Owner and operator of Echo Farm with her husband, Keith Bauer. She grew up riding at Echo Farm as a child and never left. She has competed through the Preliminary Level. A graduate “B” pony clubber, she competed in numerous national competitions in Virginia, Kentucky and Syracuse, to name a few. Callie has been educating riders of all ages in hunters, equitation and eventing as well as training and exercising horse. She has been coaching the IEA Team for 12 years with many trips to Nationals.
AllisonAllison Bauer -Similarly to mom Callie, Allison grew up riding at Echo as well as under some of the best trainers in the area. As a junior she was competitive in hunters, derbies and equitation up to the Big Eq. She was also a member of Echo’s IEA team from 6th to 12th grade followed by IHSA throughout her college career at St. Lawrence University. She is now one of the coaches of Echo’s IEA team and focuses on horsemanship and proper equitation with her students. Outside of lessons she is currently focused on bringing along young and green horses slowly and correctly for herself and others.
JoanJoan Scollay Dooley – Echo Farm now
offers Western riding lessons. Joan has many years of experience in the Western riding discipline, ranging from stock seat dressage to Western Pleasure. Polish up your riding skills, prepare for that trip out west or learn to ride from scratch. We have well-trained experienced western horses that provide the rider with the confidence and skills.
NinaNina Andrews – Nina began teaching lessons here in 2021 and has been a friend to the Echo family for more than 20 years. Before joining us she was an international horse transportation agent for almost a decade working with the top industry professionals and assisting in events like the Olympics and World Equestrian Games. She is now a pleasure rider who very much enjoys using her more than 30 years of experience to teach our hunter jumper students. She’s a lifelong resident of South Salem where she lives with her husband, two young daughters, and menagerie of animals including her soul horse, Luna.
